LDV/ Leyland DAF 200 The Leyland DAF 200 was a modern day version of the original Freight Rover Sherpa. It was originally released in 1984, but was only a face-lifted version of the narrow bodied Sherpa van.
It used various petrol and diesel engines over its lifespan, finally finishing with a Peugeot 1.9
L diesel engine.
In 1993, Leyland DAF went through a management buy-out, which then became LDV. Three years later the 200 series was replaced by the LDV Pilot.
